Gecko Mark 10 safety helmets
The Gecko Marine Safety Helmet is designed for use in a marine environment to provide head protection and reduced exposure to the elements.
The helmet provides fixing points for various add-ons, for example a visor, goggles, torches, etc.
Eight years of continuous research, in conjunction with both rescue and emergency organizations, has resulted in a versatile helmet that can be adapted to meet the needs of a wide spectrum of sporting and industrial users.
The helmet consists of 3 major parts:
1. Outer Shell
The outer shell is a two-part fibre glass construction, fluted in order to increase strength and rigidity, shaped to provide maximum protection whilst still allowing full peripheral vision.
The helmet uses a new shell shape to encompass larger head sizes and provide more protective coverage.
The helmet allows interaction with existing rescue equipment such as the lifejacket; communication is enhanced by built-in ear vents.
The shell offers good energy absorption and resistance to penetration.
2. Inflatable Internal Liner
The helmet is lined with an inflatable bladder system which ensures a true custom fit.
The liner is fitted with an adjustable control valve; this allows the wearer to adjust the fit of the helmet very precisely for maximum comfort and secure fit.
3. Retention System
The helmet is secured by a nylon webbing strap system which is locked together and adjusted by means of a Fastex click-system buckle.
The straps are anchored using corrosion resistant 2-part rivets/studs fixed to the outer shell.
The strap has a riveted loop at one end large enough to facilitate adjustment with a gloved hand.
The whole assembly is sheathed in a neoprene tube to provide comfort and to prevent rubbing.
The Open Face design allows full peripheral vision.
Kevlar Glass
construction.
Weight approximately 700 grammas.
Integrated liner system allowing 50 to 62 cms size adjustment.
Excellent warmth, comfort and buoyancy.
Accepts a range of Add-Ons, visors, torches, retro markings etc.
Crewsaver Lifejackets

Crewsaver are the
market leaders for high quality lifejackets. The advanced design of the Crewfit
leaves the chest area free, so the standard lifejacket may be worn with a
separate harness Crewsaver use the Hydrostatic inflation system for their
automatic lifejackets. This Hydrostatic Hammar system operates by water pressure
on the hydrostatic valve, so it will only operate when fully submerged in water,
unlike conventional automatic lifejackets which are inflated by a salt water
tablet being immersed in water.
Ideal for preventing the lifejacket from riding up whilst in the water.

The light is activated by the crew member, if a crew member goes overboard 'Man Overboard' on a night callout, his position can be seen with the light active, this can save precious time on recovering the crew member and attending the callout.
SOLAS MCA Approved, meets RORC Regulations.
An integral built in battery with 5 year life and 8 hours light.

A pre-coated nylon hood with low temp PVC screen to withstand temps to -30ºC & protect the wearer’s face and airways from water.
CE Approved to EN394.
Stored in neat belt pouch.

The Safety Line is always attached to the crew members lifejacket, this gives the crew member the equipment there and then - when it is needed the most.
The Safety Line is used for attaching the crew member to a secure object in ruff weather conditions and can be used for many different uses within a call out.
All safety lines are approved to EN1095 and use safety action double hooks that prevent accidental opening, yet are simple to operate single handed.
An elasticised safety line which will stretch from 1.2m to 1.8m, reducing the risk of tripping over your line. Double action safety hooks on either end.
