Shanklin Regatta

India Juliet and the Sandown & Shanklin Inshore Lifeboat at the 2006 Regatta.

The Shanklin Regatta is held every year in August, attracting lot's of people to the area and was first held back in 1851.

The day provides traditional fun events, sports, swimming, sandcastle competitions, children's crafts, stalls, regatta queen, music and entertainment, firework display which light up the bay and not forgetting the Air-Sea display by HMS Coastguard and Sandown & Shanklin Inshore Lifeboat.
