Sandown & Shanklin Inshore Lifeboat Crew - 2008

Below is a list of active members of the Sandown & Shanklin Inshore Lifeboat station.

In addition to the crew list , there are a huge number of fundraisers, volunteers and organizers without whom the necessary funds could not be collected and keep this important service running.

As with all lifeboat stations, Sandown & Shanklin Inshore Lifeboat crew members, officials and helpers come from all walks of life: there are builders, a mechanic, a zoo keeper, a career, a hotel manager, a paralegal criminal legal assistant, a marine engineer, a delivery driver and others who are self employed or retired.

Our crew members at Sandown & Shanklin Inshore Lifeboat are all dedicated individuals, who have been prepared to learn the necessary skills, are physically fit, and able to work as a team. They are all prepared to exchange the comforts of their homes at a moments notice for the dangers and discomfort of saving lives at sea.
